Experimental transformer for use with MM cartridges with an internal impedance of around 500 Ohms. Nominal impedance ratio 10K/40K. DCR 1000/2000 Ohms. Provides 6 dB of gain and ground isolation. Bandwidth limited but depends on cartridge and load impedance. Customers report significant sonic improvements. Secondary needs to be connected to a high impedance input. Two transformers are required for stereo.
